SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes (6-7-5; 23 pts.) are facing Seattle Sounders FC (9-4-3; 30 pts.) tonight at Earthquakes Stadium, presented by the City of San Jose. The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live on NBC Sports California, KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF.
San Jose and Seattle are facing off for the third time this season, with the two teams playing to a scoreless draw during the MLS is Back Tournament on July 10 and Sounders FC winning 7-1 in Seattle on Sept. 10. The Western Conference rivals will face off once more, on Nov. 8, to close out the 2020 regular season.
The Quakes hold a 5-3-4 all-time home record vs. Sounders FC but have yet to defeat the defending MLS Cup champions at Earthquakes Stadium in five prior meetings (0-2-3).
San Jose is looking to build on its recent success, having won four of its past five matches and climbing above the playoff line in the Western Conference. The Quakes are one of just three teams in MLS to earn at least 12 points from their last five matches (Toronto FC - 13, Portland Timbers - 12).
