ERIE, Pa. - The Fisher Cats jumped out to an early 5-0 lead on Tuesday night, and then rode another strong start by Casey Lawrence to a 7-4 win over the Erie SeaWolves. Lawrence earned his ninth victory as the Fisher Cats (their final multi-series road trip of 2014.

The first two runs for the Fisher Cats (56-60) came in similar situations. In the first inning, with runners at the corners, Cory Aldridge delivered a two-out single to right field to plate one run. Two innings later, with one man at third, Aldridge came through with another two-out RBI to give New Hampshire a 2-0 lead.

They tacked on three more in the fifth against Erie starter Warwick Saupold (L; 7-10). Jon Berti started the scoring with his second double, which plated Jorge Flores for a 3-0 lead. Matt Newman followed with a two-run single for a 5-0 advantage.

Erie (56-60) began to claw back against Lawrence (W; 9-5) in the bottom of the fourth. They scored two runs in that frame on a single and a force out. After the Fisher Cats scored on an error in the sixth, Erie pushed back with two in the bottom of the inning on a home run, a double, and a single, all with two outs.

Mike McDade capped the scoring for the Fisher Cats with a sac fly in the ninth. He was on base three times, adding a double to his resume. Berti, Andy Burns, and Aldridge all ended the night with two hits.

Dustin Antolin and Gregory Infante pitched the final two innings to secure the victory.
