Eagles Look to Tie Series as Game Four with Regiment Goes Tonight

Cape Breton Eagles News Release
After falling behind in the series for the first time last night, the Cape Breton Eagles will look to tie their first round series against the Newfoundland Regiment tonight. Newfoundland leads the first round series 2-1. It will be a special night at Centre 200, as after shipping delays caused a postponement, the Eagles will be clad in green for Irish Night.
The Eagles carried much of the play in game 3, outshooting Newfoundland 35-25, but it was an opportunistic Regiment side that prevailed with 4-2 victory. Marek Danicek, who didn't play in the third period of game two after sustaining an injury, had a big night, notching two points including a critical insurance goal in the final four minutes. Louis-Antoine Denault continued his outstanding play throughout the series, turning aside 33 of 35 shots.
With the injury to Eliot Litalien, the Eagles had to tinker with the lines, moving Raoul Boilard to play with Lewis Gendron & Reece Peitzche while Lucas Romeo reunited with Europeans Maxime Sauthier & Adam Klaus. The line change seemed to spark Sauthier, who scored the opening goal 25 seconds in, and registered six shots, more than anyone else in the game. It was the first time in the series the Eagles scored the first the goal.
As the Eagles celebrated a delayed Irish Night at the Nest, the Eagles will be wearing specially designed green jerseys. Fans will be able to purchase raffle tickets on the jerseys in support of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation.
