Colorado Eagles News Release
WINDSOR, Colo. - The Central Hockey League's Northern Conference champion Colorado Eagles announced today that they've acquired the rights to the league's second-leading scorer from last season - Konrad Reeder; New Mexico receives the rights to Seth Leonard. Reeder, who registered five points (1-4-5) in last year's All-Star Game (tied for second-most in the game), is coming off his most successful season as a pro.
The 5-foot-9-inch developmental winger ranked among the league's leaders in several offensive categories last season, including: points (2nd, 108), goals (3rd, 41), assists (3rd, 67), power-play goals (5th, 14), power-play assists (6th, 25), short-handed goals (3rd, 6) and short-handed assists (4th, 4). He was also second on the Scorpions with a plus-21 plus/minus rating. Over the past two seasons, Reeder has registered 146 points (58-88-146) in 107 games.
The Eagles will play their second and final preseason game of the 2008-09 season Saturday, October 11 against the expansion Rapid City Rush. It will be Colorado's first look at a team they will face more than any other this season.
The defending Northern Conference champion Colorado Eagles will open the 2008-09 season with a home game against the Rapid City Rush on October 17. Tickets for all home dates at the Budweiser Events Center can be purchased through the Budweiser Events Center box office, www.ComcastTix.com, 1-877-544-TIXX (8499), the Eagles' Office in Water Valley or through any ComcastTIX Outlet.
