NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (October 13)- Hockey season is back for the Texas Brahmas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) as they open the 2008-09 season this weekend on the road Friday evening followed by the home opener Saturday.
This year the Brahmas promise affordable family entertainment and competitive play.
The Brahmas will have their home opener at the NYTEX Sports Centre on Saturday at 7:05 PM to face the Mississippi RiverKings. This will be the Brahmas first season in the Southeast division.
Last season, Texas ended their season one goal short of the President's Cup Finals. With many familiar faces returning this season, including the goaltending duo of David Cacciola and Brett Jaeger, the Brahmas will not be satisfied with anything less than a championship.
"We look forward to seeing all of our past and new fans here Saturday night. We believe this will be an even more exciting season than last year based on the terrific first year as the Texas Brahmas here at the NYTEX Sports Centre," said Brahmas General Manager Mike Barack.
