'E' Center Prepares for State Basketball Tournament

West Valley City, Utah - The E Center in conjunction with the Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA) and West Valley City, is proud to present the 4-A and 5-A boys high school state championships.

"West Valley City is delighted to host the 4-A and 5-A basketball championships," said Mayor Dennis Nordfelt. "In addition to enhancing the quality sports offerings at the E Center, this will have a positive impact on local businesses as people travel to West Valley City from throughout the state."

The top 4-A and 5-A high school boys teams will battle it out from March 1-6 at the E Center beginning at 9:30AM on the 1st. The 4-A and 5-A divisions represent the largest classifications of schools in the Salt Lake Valley.

"The E Center is certainly excited about the addition of high school basketball to our event schedule," said E Center General Manager Kevin Bruder. "The tournaments will make a significant economic impact in West Valley City with the numerous restaurants and the 600 plus hotel rooms in the vicinity."
