Rampage announce transactions

SAN ANTONIO – Feb. 26, 2004 – San Antonio Rampage General Manager Bobby Jay announced that the Rampage have recalled forward Scott Kelman from Augusta of the ECHL, reassigned defenseman Greg Jacina to Augusta and have released forwards Nick Parillo and Kevin Spiewak from their professional tryout offers.

Kelman, 22, has played in 10 games for the Rampage recording two points. He has played in 40 games with Augusta this season recording 13-26-39 and 94 penalty minutes (PIM).

Jacina, 21, was recalled from Augusta on Feb. 2. In 13 games with the Rampage he recorded four assists and 22 PIM.

Parillo will return to the Toledo Storm (ECHL). The 6-foot-1, 205-pounder appeared in eight games with the Rampage, recording 1-1-2 totals and 2 PIM.

Spiewak, 24, joined the Rampage on Feb. 20 and played in four games, registering zero points and penalty minutes.

The Rampage return to SBC Center ice on Fri., Feb. 27 for a battle with the Houston Aeros. San Antonio's homecoming will be short-lived as it takes to the road again for dates in Houston (Feb.28), Chicago (Feb. 29) and Cleveland (Mar. 2).
