Lexington, KY - With the return of their most productive hitter paying early dividends, the Augusta GreenJackets ran their winning streak to six straight with a 5-2 victory over the Lexington Legends on Thursday night.

Adam Duvall, out of the lineup with a hamstring injury since July 21st, doubled home a run on the second pitch he saw in the second inning to give the GreenJackets a 1-0 lead. Duvall missed hitting a home run by two feet as his double landed high on the left field fence in his first at-bat back in the lineup.

Mike Kickham made that one-run lead stand until the fifth when he allowed a pair of hits that led to the tying run. Roberto Pena's sacrifice fly brought home the tying run to knot things at one. Previously, Kickham had retired the first ten hitters he faced and 12 of the first 13.

The GreenJackets broke through against Lexington starter Mike Foltynewicz to reclaim the lead in the seventh. Ryan Scoma doubled with one out and scored later in the inning on Joel Weeks's RBI single to put the GreenJackets back on top 2-1.

Kickham (4-7) benefitted from that run, earning his third win in his last five starts. In six innings, he allowed a run on two hits and a walk while striking out five in his second straight win.

Augusta added to the lead in the ninth as Josh Mazzola connected for his 11th home run of the season - all but one on the road - to push the lead to 3-1. Duvall and Bobby Haney both doubled home runs later in the inning to send Augusta's lead to 5-1. Mario Rodriguez surrendered a ninth inning home run to Ben Heath, but retired three of the four he faced in the inning to preserve the 5-2 win.

Foltynewicz (5-9) became a tough-luck loser for the Legends, allowing two runs on five hits and a pair of walks while striking out seven - two shy of a season-best.

The GreenJackets look to push the winning streak to seven straight with Ryan Bradley (1-1, 4.41) on the mound on Friday night against Lexington's Ruben Alaniz (6-9, 4.43). First pitch from Lexington comes at 7:05 p.m. with radio pregame coverage beginning at 6:50, airing on WRDW-AM 1630 and online at www.greenjacketsbaseball.com .
