Dunn To Be Inducted Into SAL Hall Of Fame

Rome, GA - Rome Braves General Manager Michael Dunn has been selected for induction into the South Atlantic League Hall of Fame 2010 Class the league announced today. He will be honored as part of the 51st Annual South Atlantic League All-Star Game, on June 22nd at Flour Field at the West End in Greenville, SC. Dunn joins former pitchers John Purdin and Curt Schilling as part of this year's class.

"I'm honored to be recognized by my peers and the baseball community while fortunate to work with many talented people who should share in this award," says Dunn. "I'm humbled to be in the company of such greats as Paul Snyder, Ed Holtz, Chip Moore, Willie Stargell, John Henry Moss and other members of the South Atlantic League Family."

Dunn began work with the Atlanta Braves organization in 1991, working in stadium operations. He later worked for the Greenville Braves before being named the General Manager of the Macon Braves in 1996. He served dual roles as the GM of the Macon club as well as project manager for construction on the stadium in Rome. Dunn relocated with the team in 2003 and continues as General Manager. He was named the South Atlantic League Executive of the Year in 2003 and 2008.
