Long Island Ducks News Release

(Lancaster, Penn., May 18, 2015) - Monday's (May 18) game between the Long Island Ducks and Lancaster Barnstormers has been suspended due to inclement weather. The game was called with the score tied at three in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Following a two hour, 21 minute rain delay, Cody Puckett put the Ducks ahead with a three-run home run to left in the third inning off of Barnstormers starter Matt Packer. Lancaster closed to within one in the fourth on a RBI single by Kevin Rivers and a RBI double by Keith Castillo off of Ducks starter Ian Marshall.

The Ducks held a 3-2 lead until the bottom of the sixth inning when Blake Gailen hit a solo homer to right that knotted the score. After a walk to Brian Cavazos-Galvez, the umpires called for the tarp and eventually suspended the game.

Monday's (5/18) game will be continued at a future date that is still to be determined. Please stay tuned to LIDucks.com for more information on the status of the game.
