North Little Rock, AR - The Tulsa Drillers dominated the Arkansas Travelers 9-2 on Friday night at Dickey-Stephens Park to salvage a series split.

Drillers RHP Brock Stewart (W, 1-1) did not allow an earned run over six innings of work. The righty did allow an unearned run on three hits with two walks and eight strikeouts.

RHP Jordan Kipper (L, 2-2) ran into trouble in the fifth inning and was lifted before being able to retire a batter in the frame. Kipper allowed five runs on seventh hits with a walk and three strikeouts.

Arkansas mustered four hits in the game, all singles and finished 1-for-6 with runners in scoring position. The Travs went 5-for-41 with RISP in the series.

Former Travs infielder SS Drew Maggi hit triples in back-to-back plate appearances in the third and fifth innings, and scored both times on 3B Paul Hoenecke RBI singles. Hoenecke finished 3-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBIs.

Arkansas' two runs scored on a 3B Andrew Daniel infield single and a balk.

With the loss, the Travs fell to 12-16 on the season. Arkansas will begin a four-game series vs. Northwest Arkansas on Saturday at Dickey-Stephens Park. First pitch on Saturday is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
