Dragons Roster Adds Two New Players
April 21, 2006 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Dayton Dragons News Release
Dayton, OH - The Dayton Dragons roster adds to familiar faces to the roster with the addition of INF Habelito Hernandez and RHP Blake Hendley. Both players have been reassigned to the Dragons from the Sarasota Reds of the Florida State League. Hernandez spent parts of the 2004 and 2005 seasons in a Dragons uniform, while Hendley led Dayton pitchers with a 7-0 record and 14 saves in the 2005 season. To make room for the pair on the Dragons active roster, LHP Brandon Camardese has been placed on the DL with a Cyst behind his left shoulder. Camardese will have the cyst removed by Reds team doctors in Sarasota, Florida. Reininger has been placed on the temporarily inactive list and is returning home to Texas due to a death in the family. There is not a time table on his return to the club. Both Hernandez and Hendley are available for the Dragons when the team opens up a four game series with the Kane County Cougars Friday night at Fifth Third Field.
