Dayton Dragons News Release
DAYTON, OHIO - The Dayton Dragons game on Sunday, July 28th will be televised from Fifth Third Field on WHIO Digital Channel 7.2 (Time Warner Basic Cable Channel 23 and Digital Channel 372). First pitch is scheduled for 2:05 p.m. as the Dragons host the Fort Wayne TinCaps (San Diego Padres affiliate).
Sponsors for Dragons 2013 television broadcasts include John Morrell Food Group, Drake Heating and Air, Greater Ohio Virtual School, DP&L, IUE-CWA, Smoothie King, Cohen Recycling, Skyline Chili, h.h. gregg, and Iworks Laser and Vision Center.
Former Reds Assistant Director of Player Development Grant Griesser will provide commentary. Griesser, a former catcher at Miami University who played in the Royals organization, served as Assistant Director of Player Development for the Reds for seven years through 2007. He brings a unique perspective to the telecasts based on his insider's view on the workings of player development. Griesser has worked on Dragons telecasts since 2008.
The Dragons will televise 25 games from Fifth Third Field this season. The telecasts are produced by the Dragons' in-house production crew. Others who have appeared as guest commentators this season are:
