FOX CITIES STADIUM -- The Dayton Dragons scored six unearned runs in the top of the fourth inning and cruised to an 8-4 win over the Wiconsin Timber Rattlers Friday night. Drew Anderson had three hits and knocked in a pair of runs for the Dragons. Jon George pitched four shutout innings in relief to lead Dayton to the win. Wisconsin has lost four straight games.

Asdrubal Cabrera homered to rightcenter in the bottom of the first inning to put the Rattlers (16-12) ahead 1-0.

Dayton (10-17) tied the game with an infield RBI single by Anderson in the top of the second. The Rattlers retook the lead on a two-out single to right by Jack Arroyo in the bottom of the second.

Dayton rallied in the top of the fourth inning thanks to two Rattler errors early and some big hits against Rattler starter Jason Snyder. Dayton would score six unearned runs in the inning. An RBI single by Anderson was sandwiched between a run scoring fielder's choice and a run scoring balk by Snyder. Mayker Sandoval, Phil Gentry, and Paul Janish collected RBI hits later in the inning to drive Snyder from the game.

Arroyo had an infield single in the bottom of the fourth the drove in one run and an error on the play allowed a second run to score and pull the Rattlers to within 7-4.

The offenses struggled to get anything going the rest of the game. Dayton managed a run in the top of the ninth on another fielder's choice for the final run.

George allowed just three hits and struck out one to earn his first win of the season.

Game two of the series is Saturday night. Casey Abrams (3-1, 5.96ERA) will be the starting pitcher for the Timber Rattles. Brad Morenko (1-0, 0.36ERA) is the scheduled starter for the Dragons. Game time is 1:05pm.
