Dayton Dragons (13-6, 48-41) at Quad Cities River Bandits (11-8, 51-37)

RH Daniel Corcino (8-4, 3.12) vs. RH Seth Blair (5-3, 4.23)

Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Quad Cities River Bandits (affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals) in the second game of a three-game series. Season Series: Quad Cities 1, Dayton 0.

Last Night: Quad Cities defeated Dayton 7-5 in the first game of the series. Dayton trailed 7-2 entering the ninth inning and scored three times. The Dragons had the tying run at the plate with two outs but could not complete the comeback. The Dragons collected eight hits including two each for Billy Hamilton, Dominic D'Anna, and Yorman Rodriguez. D'Anna had a solo home run.

Today's Dragons Starting Pitcher: Daniel Corcino makes his 17th start of the season tonight. He suffered the loss in his last start last Thursday at Fort Wayne (3 IP, 6 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 2 BB, 1 SO). Corcino pitched one inning in the Midwest League All-Star Game on June 21 at Quad Cities, allowing one run in one inning and suffering the loss. He won six consecutive starts from April 18-May 18. Corcino is a 20-year-old native of the Dominican Republic. He entered the 2011 season rated as the #15 prospect in Reds organization by Baseball America. Corcino has drawn comparisons to fellow Dominican and former Dragon Johnny Cueto because of a fastball that can get into the mid 90 mph range and sub-six foot frame.
