Dayton had the winning run at third with one out in the bottom of the ninth and with no outs in the bottom of the 14th but could not score. The River Bandits left 21 men on base to establish a new club record for a Dragons opponent. Quad Cities was 1 for 16 with men in scoring position entering the 16th inning. Dayton starting pitcher Jacob Johnson was outstanding, allowing two runs (one earned) over six innings.
