Blake Hassebrock (5-6, 2.43) vs. RH Daniel Corcino (9-4, 3.61)
Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Burlington Bees (affiliate of the Oakland Athletics) in the last game of a three-game series. Season Series: Dayton 2, Burlington 0.
Last Night: After a rain delay of three hours, one minute, the Dragons defeated Burlington 7-1 on Sunday. It was Dayton's seventh straight win. The Dragons broke open a 3-1 game with four runs in the fifth inning on the way to the win. Ronald Torreyes was 3 for 4 with a run scored and an RBI to lead a 13-hit Dayton attack. Tucker Barnhart and Theo Bowe each had two hits and a run scored. Reliever Chad Rogers tossed four scoreless innings for the win, striking out seven.
Today's Dragons Starting Pitcher: Daniel Corcino makes his 19th start of the season tonight. He earned the win in his last start last Wednesday vs. Peoria (6 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 3 BB, 5 SO). Over his last three starts, Corcino is 1-1, 9.64 (14 IP, 15 ER). Over the previous five starts, he was 2-0, 1.42 (31.1 IP, 6 ER). Corcino pitched one inning in the Midwest League All-Star Game on June 21 at Quad Cities, allowing one run in one inning and suffering the loss. He won six consecutive starts from April 18-May 18. Corcino is a 20-year-old native of the Dominican Republic. He entered the 2011 season rated as the #15 prospect in Reds organization by Baseball America. Corcino has drawn comparisons to fellow Dominican and former Dragon Johnny Cueto because of a fastball that can get into the mid 90 mph range and sub-six foot frame

Since June 24 when the second half began, Torreyes is tied for second in all of minor league baseball in base hits (former Dragon Denis Phipps of Carolina is first). Torreyes is batting .403 since joining the club on June 17.
* Billy Hamilton has hit safely and scored in his last seven games. He is batting .361 over his last 20 games. He has 74 stolen bases to set the Dragons club record for single-season and career steals. He leads all of professional baseball in steals.
* David Vidal is batting .340 with 5 HR and 28 RBI in his last 28 games, raising his average from .267 to .292.
