Dayton, Ohio-Shed Long's two-run single broke a 4-4 tie in the seventh inning as the Dayton Dragons battled back from a three-run deficit to defeat the Bowling Green Hot Rods 6-4 on Thursday night. A crowd of 8,034 attended the game at Fifth Third Field. The win was the Dragons fifth in their last seven games.

The Dragons trailed 4-1 before they started back with two runs in the fifth. Narciso Crook tripled to center field to drive in Garrett Boulware from first, and Crook scored on Luis Gonzalez's single to right to make it 4-3.

In the seventh, Boulware singled to left field to start the inning and went to second on Crook's sacrifice. Gonzalez singled to center to move Boulware to third, and then stole second. Jonathan Reynoso followed with a single to right to drive in Boulware and tie the game as Gonzalez stopped at third and Reynoso took second on the throw home. Long followed with bouncer through the middle to drive in both Gonzalez and Reynoso to give the Dragons a 6-4 lead.

Dragons reliever Junior Morillo, just activated minutes before the game, followed several poor outings with a perfect performance to earn the win. Morillo (4-8) retired all nine batters he faced, striking out one. Jake Ehret pitched a scoreless ninth inning for his third save.

The Dragons finished with 11 hits. Gonzalez led the way with three hits, two runs scored, and an RBI. Long and Reynoso each had two hits and two runs batted in. Boulware had two hits and scored two runs.
