Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Bowling Green Hot Rods (affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays) in the first game of a three-game set.

Individual Notes

- Shed Long has hit safely in 13 straight games, batting .327 during the streak. He has tied for the Dragons fourth longest hitting streak in 2015.

- Gavin LaValley is batting .375 over his last eight games, going 15 for 40 with one home run.

- Jimmy Pickens is batting .348 over his last six games, going 8 for 23 with four doubles.

- Avain Rachal is batting .339 with one home run over his last 16 games. He is batting .293 in the second half.

Team Notes

The Dragons won two-out-of-three in the series at Lake County that ended Wednesday, notching their first road series win of the second half.

The Dragons went 4-4 with one rain-out on their scheduled nine-day road trip (1-2 at South Bend; 1-1 at Great Lakes; 2-1 at Lake County).

The Dragons are batting .267 as a team over their last 11 games, collecting 108 hits in 404 at-bats.
