Dragones announce special tryout camp
October 26, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Tijuana Dragons News Release
Tijuana, MX. The ABA Tijuana Dragones, scheduled to begin play in November, one of the ABA's oldest and most successful teams, are looking for a few good players. The team fields a 12-man roster with a minimum of two Mexican national players to fill spots on the roster. Players selected will have their rent paid as well as a good salary. This is an opportunity to put up statistics on a professional basketball team and have a chance to go to the next level.
The Special Tryout Camp will run from November 14th to November 16th. A $100 non-refundable fee is required for participating in the tryout camp. Hotel accommodations will be provided during the Tryout period. A check or money order should be made out to Tijuana Dragons and sent to P.O. Box 11200, Salt Lake City, UT 84147.
The team will pick up US players in Downtown San Diego all day November 14th. If larger groups of players arrive at the Airport, we will arrange a pickup. The tryout camp will be held at the Auditorio Municipal located 10 minutes from downtown Tijuana on Blvd Agua Caliente.
For more information, call 801 891 7255, email tijuanadragons@aol,com - and a tryout agreement will be provided. Tijuana is a great place to play pro ball - this is your chance. Or, visit www.abalive.com.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
