San Diego beats Tijuana with great comeback

San Diego Wildcats, with an impressive comeback of 40 4th. quarter points, beats Tijuana Dragones by a score of 124-118 last thursday, in the official first home game for Tijuana in the current 2006-2007 ABA season.

Cardell Butler was hot from long range for the Wildcat and finish the game with 39 points, scoring 9 of 18 three pointers, and Jamal Kendrick finished the game with 25. Aaron Hands and Malcolm Battle, with 17 points each, were very helpful for the Wildcats (5-2), who were trailing at halftime by 12 (68-56).

For the Dragones (2-3), Raynardo Curry was the stellar man, with 27 points and 12 assists, but Mike Jones gets de standup ovation with his spectacular effort to keep the Dragones in the game. Jones finishes with 25 points and 9 rebounds, but was 5 for 8 behind the arc, 3 of them in the final 2 minutes.

Dragones will recieve the visit of the Maywood Buzz (5-3) this saturday, at 7:05 PM, at the Municipal Auditorium of Tijuana.
