Riverhawks Sign Purple Heart Receipent

Davenport - The Quad City Riverhawks (7-3) announced the signing of 5'5", Tipton, Iowa native Specialist Chad Baetke a member of D Co. 2/211 GSAP as the 13th man for their game against the Chicago Rockstars on Saturday, December 16 at 7:05pm.

Baetke received his Purple Heart while serving as a door gunner on a Chinook Helicopter serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom I. On November 2, 2003 his Chinook was shot down after being fired upon the third time by a heat seeking missile. Specialist Baetke was only 1 of 20 to survive.

Fans can show their Military ID and receive $5 General Admission tickets.

The Riverhawks next home game is Sunday, December 17 at 4:05pm against the Peoria Kings. Fans can bring in their church bulletin and receive a complimentary ticket with the purchase of a ticket.
