Bobby Anderson Named Player of the Year

Davenport, Iowa-USBASKET.COM has released their 2008 All PBL League awards and the Player of the Year comes from the Quad City Riverhawks Bobby Anderson a 6'6"shooting guard from Peoria, Illinois. On the year Anderson avg. 17.9 ppg and 9.5 rpg and 3.2 apg. Riverhawks head coach LaTroy Farrow stated "We as a organization are excited about this great award for such a great player and we look forward in having Bobby back for us next year." Bobby shot 50% from behind the 3 point line and was a key defensive player for the Riverhawks who ended their season with a record of 15-6 and Western Division regular season championship. The Riverhawks also landed guard Ryan Edwards on the first team all PBL team. Edwards on the year averaged 21.3 ppg and 5.9 rpg and 2.6 apg.

Riverhawks News: The Riverhawks are pleased to announce that forward Quinnel Brown and forward Keith Gayden have continued their playing careers in the IBL. Brown from Auburn University has signed with the Gary Steeleheads and Gayden a forward from Duquesne University has re-signed with the Elgin Racers where he was named a 2007 IBL all-star.
