Buffalo Silverbacks News Release

Buffalo Oct 26th-The Buffalo Silverbacks have added another great signing to their growing roster with the acquisition of Kueth Duany, a 6'7" 190lb guard. His ferocious defense and willingness to commit everything he has to the game is a perfect match for the "Do Your Best; Never Quit" mentality of the Silverbacks.

Duany is a familiar name to many in the area since he was the team captain for the Syracuse Orangemen's National Championship team during the 2002-2003 season. He was known as the "Son of Syracuse" during his time at The Carrier Dome while playing with the likes of Carmelo Anthony and Hakeem Warrick. His athletic ability was noticed as soon as he and his family came over from the Sudan and settled in Bloomington, Indiana.

Kueth's size and athleticism enable him to work on the perimeter and mix it up in the paint as well. Duany spent last season in Finland where he averaged 12 ppg and 6 rpg and was also part of the Fayetteville Patriots in the NBA D-League. He is coming to Buffalo after an impressive showing at the Utah Jazz training camp. Along with being a warrior on the court Kueth was also named the Big East's first Sportsman of the Year his senior season.
