Dragon Tales visits FirstEnergy Park

Lakewood, NJ- Two favorite characters from the children's television show, Dragon Tales will be visiting FirstEnergy Park on Sunday, July 31st. Cassie and Ord will be appearing before the game courtesy of Sesame Workshop and NJN.

Both Cassie and Ord will be appearing at FirstEnergy Park before the start of the game, beginning at 3:00 p.m. Appearance times are as follows: 3:00-3:30 Cassie, 3:30-4:00 Ord, 4:00-4:30 Cassie and then both characters from 5:30-6:00 inside the ballpark at the NJN table. The game begins at 5:05 p.m. and kids are welcomed to come and get their picture taken before the game, but are asked to bring their own camera for pictures.

"We're very eager to have the characters from Dragon Tales come to FirstEnergy Park," said General Manager Geoff Brown. "We feel this is a great way for everyone to come out and enjoy the game especially our younger kids."

Sesame Workshop is a nonprofit educational organization geared toward addressing the developmental needs of children worldwide. The Workshop develops educational content for all forms of media and uses those best suited to deliver a particular curriculum.

New Jersey Network (NJN) is the state's educational telecommunications network providing access programs and services that address the needs of New Jersey and its citizens.

The Lakewood BlueClaws season is currently underway and features many great promotions as they celebrate their fifth anniversary of providing great fun in the Jersey Sun. Among them, kids 12 and under eat free on every Monday home game, courtesy of ShopRite. Every Friday night, a fireworks display will follow the game, courtesy of Toyota World / Scion World of Lakewood. In addition, the BlueClaws will host games against affiliates of the Florida Marlins and Pittsburgh Pirates.
