Doubront Activated, Lentz Placed on the Disabled List

Portland, Maine- Portland Sea Dogs' left-handed pitcher Felix Doubront has been activated from the disabled list. Right-handed pitcher Richie Lentz was placed on the disabled list. Doubront will start for the Sea Dogs Tuesday night at 6:35 PM against the Connecticut Defenders at Dodd Stadium in Norwich, Connecticut.

The 21 year-old Doubront has notched a 4-2 record with a 3.19 ERA in 12 starts for Portland this season. Doubront, a member of the Red Sox 40-man roster, was signed by the Red Sox as a non-drafted free agent on July 12, 2004.

Lentz has appeared in 19 games for the Sea Dogs in 2009 posting a 1-0 record with a 8.61 ERA. The 24 year-old was selected by the Red Sox in the 19th round of the 2006 First-Year Player Draft.

The Portland Sea Dogs return to Hadlock Field on Tuesday, June 30th at 7:00 PM for a four day/five game series with the New Britain Rock Cats.
