Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings News Release

Harlingen, TX - Due to the threat of Tropical Storm Dolly, tonight's Harlingen WhiteWings game against the Amarillo Dillas at Harlingen Field is postponed. No makeup date has been announced.

"At times like this, residents of the valley need to be with their families and concerned with their safety, not worrying about coming out to a baseball game. That includes our fans, players and staff. Baseball is secondary when there's a major storm threatening us," General Manager Dave Kost said. "As part of the precautionary measures being taken, we (WhiteWings) will leave for San Angelo tonight to avoid any possible travel issues and to ensure our team arrives safely."

Fans with tickets to tonight's game can exchange them for tickets to any other game during the season at the box office located at Harlingen Field.

The WhiteWings will return to action for a three-game road series in San Angelo on Thursday night at 7:05. Right-hander Alex Gett (2-7) is expected to face left-hander Frank James Jr. (3-3).
