Sioux Falls Canaries News Release

SIOUX FALLS - There will be plenty of animals at Sioux Falls Stadium in the near future. Some will be cute, cuddly and known for their companionship. Others will be giant, inflatable celebrity look-alikes known for zany and hysterical antics on a baseball field.

The Pheasants are bringing back one of their most popular annual traditions, Bark in the Park Night, on Thursday, July 7. As the Pheasants host the Sioux City Explorers, fans can bring along their four-legged best friends to the game. Dogs and their owners will have a special section to sit in, and there will be dog promotions all evening, including a Best Dressed contest and a Best Trick contest.

All dogs can purchase a "ticket" for just $5, with all proceeds benefitting the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society. All dogs must have current vaccinations. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. and gates open at 6 p.m.

The Sioux Falls Pheasants are also thrilled to announce the upcoming performance of the nationally-reknowned ZOOperstars! on Tuesday, July 12, as the Pheasants take on the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks at Sioux Falls Stadium. The ZOOperstars! will bring out crazy characters like Harry Canary, Mackerel Jordan, Alex Frogriguez, Manatee Ramirez, Ichiroach Suzuki and Cow Ripken Jr. Their hilarious routines will be performed throughout the game and entertain Pheasants fans of all ages.

The ZOOperstars! have appeared at major and minor league baseball games across the country and at sporting events around the world. Their shows have been highlighted recently in several national media outlets, including CNN and ESPN.

Tuesday is a Double Play Tuesday, so fans can purchase tickets 2-for-1! First pitch is at 7:05 p.m., and gates open at 6 p.m.

Fans can purchase tickets in advance for both games by visiting the Pheasants' box office in person or by going online to www.sfpheasants.com . For more information, call (605) 336-6060.
