Kansas Star Casino Launch-A-Ball Gives Fans a Chance at $100,000

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Wingnuts announced a new partnership with Kansas Star Casino on Wednesday. South central Kansas' casino will be the title sponsor of the Wingnuts' Launch-a-Ball promotion.
Kansas Star will bring more than their name to Launch-a-Ball, as finalists will be selected for a chance to throw for $100,000.
"Launch-a-Ball has proven to be a fun addition to our home games," said Wingnuts' majority owner Steve Ruud. "The huge grand prize can only add to the excitement and Launch-a-Ball's success."
Beginning July 8th, 2011, any Launch-a-Ball "jackpot" winner at all remaining Friday, Saturday, and Sunday home games will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win $100,000 following the Wingnuts' final home game on Friday, August 26th.
Two lucky fans will be randomly selected from all of the previous jackpot winners for a chance to throw for the grand prize of $100,000. The two finalists will stand atop the main pitcher's mound at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium, and throw to a target positioned 60-feet, six-inches away. If either contestant throws three strikes through the target at home plate, before throwing four balls outside of the target, they will win the grand prize.

The Wingnuts introduced Launch-a-Ball at the beginning of the 2011 season. The promotion takes place immediately following every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Wingnuts' home game at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium. Fans at least 21 years of age can purchase Launch-a-Balls in the Wingnuts' gift shop for just $1.00. When the signal is given, the Launch-a-Balls are thrown onto the field where fans aim for the jackpot bucket, among other great prizes.
