Oklahoma City Comets News Release

Oklahoma City - All eight of the Oklahoma City Dodgers' runs came via home run Thursday night as the Dodgers set a team home record by swatting six homers in an 8-4 win against the Memphis Redbirds at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Thursday's win snapped the Dodgers' three-game losing skid and improved Oklahoma City's home record to 16-3 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark this season.

Five different Dodgers players connected on homers in the game as Oklahoma City (23-9) hit six home runs in a game for the first time since June 18, 2008 at Nashville.

Thursday's output also set the record for the most home runs hit by Oklahoma City in a game at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark since the ballpark opened in 1998.

Donovan Solano kicked off the homer parade when he belted his second homer in as many games out to left-center field in the first inning for a 1-0 Dodgers lead.

The Redbirds (22-13) took the lead in the third inning, loading the bases with one out for Yairo Munoz, who connected on a grand slam to put Memphis in front, 4-1, as all 12 runs in Thursday's game came via home run.

The Dodgers chipped away at the Redbirds' lead when Kyle Garlick connected on his first homer of the night and cut Memphis' lead to 4-2 in the fourth inning.

Breyvic Valera led off the fifth inning with a solo homer to cut Memphis' lead to one run. Later with two outs, Danny Espinosa drilled a three-run homer out to left field to put Oklahoma City in the lead, 6-4.

Jacob Scavuzzo and Garlick both hit solo homers in the seventh inning for an 8-4 Dodgers lead. Scavuzzo joined the Dodgers Thursday from Double-A Tulsa and Garlick's homer was his second of the night.

Espinosa, Garlick, Henry Ramos and Valera each finished with multi-hit games for Oklahoma City as the Dodgers outhit Memphis, 11-6.

Daniel Corcino made a spot start for the Dodgers and allowed the grand slam in the third inning. He allowed four total hits and one walk with five strikeouts in the no-decision outing.

Reliever Ariel Hernandez (1-0) made his Oklahoma City debut Thursday and got the win, pitching two perfect innings.

Memphis starting pitcher Austin Gomber (2-2) was charged with the loss, allowing six runs and eight hits over 5.0 innings with two walks and eight strikeouts.

Oklahoma City's 23 wins through 32 games are the team's most through 32 games since rejoining the PCL in 1998.

The Dodgers wrap up their series against Memphis, as well as their homestand, with a 7:05 p.m. game Friday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

The second INTEGRIS "Home Run for Life" of the season will take place after the third inning and fireworks will follow the game, presented by True Sky Credit Union.
