Long Island Ducks News Release
(Central Islip, N.Y., May 20, 2011) - The Long Island Ducks today announced that the contract of pitcher Lenny DiNardo has been purchased by the Oakland Athletics organization. He becomes the first Duck to be signed by a Major League team in 2011 and will be assigned to Oakland's Triple-A affiliate.
"We are happy that Lenny will get a chance to return to the Major Leagues," says Ducks' manager Kevin Baez. "He was a tremendous addition to our pitching staff and will surely be missed."
