
Dickenson rejoins Gladiators

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that forward Lou Dickenson will rejoin the team after being released from his professional tryout contract with the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League. Dickenson played in three games with the Moose since his call-up on January 30.
Before being called up to Manitoba, Dickenson tallied 44 points on 19 goals and 25 assists in 41 games this season. The Orleans, ON native joined the Gladiators for the 2007-08 season after playing part of the previous two seasons overseas in Italy, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
The 6-foot-1-inch and 194-pound Dickenson has tallied 60 total points on 24 goals and 36 assists in 65 career ECHL games with the Gladiators this season and with the Texas Wildcatters during the 2004-05 season.
Dickenson's three games in Manitoba marked his second trip to the AHL. He played 17 games with the San Antonio Rampage during the 2004-05 season, notching one goal and picking up 12 penalty minutes.
The forward will be available for Gwinnett as they play the Johnstown Chiefs tonight night at the Cambria County War Memorial Coliseum.

Celebrating its 20th Anniversary as the Premier 'AA' Hockey League in 2007-08, the ECHL began in 1988-89 with five teams in three states and has grown to be a coast-to-coast league that has 25 teams in 17 states and British Columbia in 2007-08. The 25 teams includes the Mississippi (Biloxi) Sea Wolves, who return after missing two seasons in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and the expansion Elmira (N.Y.) Jackals. The ECHL will play 900 games beginning Oct. 18 and concluding Apr. 5.
