
Cracknell and Wranglers Cruise Past Condors 7-3

Bakersfield, CA - The Las Vegas Wranglers (32-9-7, 71 Points) defeated the Bakersfield Condors (14-24-9, 37 points) 7-3 at Rabobank Arena on Tuesday night. Right wing Adam Cracknell recorded his first career hat trick as Las Vegas won for the eighth time in the last nine games. Right wing Peter Ferraro scored twice as Las Vegas improved to 5-2-0 over Bakersfield this season. Las Vegas goalie Kevin Lalande made 26 saves, improving 11-3-2 on the season. Left wings Bruce Mulherin and Kelly Czuy also scored in the Wranglers win. Seven different Wranglers registered a multi-point game as Las Vegas improved to 28-10-1 all-time against the Condors. Las Vegas will now head to Stockton for 7:00 pm face-off on Wednesday at the Stockton Arena.
In the first period, Las Vegas erupted with three goals in the period to open up a 3-0 lead. Captain Peter Ferraro started the scoring with a one-timer on the power play for his 21st goal of the season at 10:04. Defenseman Jason Jozsa sent a crisp cross-ice pass to set up the 1-0 Las Vegas lead. The Wranglers added to the damage, doubling the lead as right wing Adam Cracknell tallied his 22nd goal of the season at 12:29. Cracknell tipped a Chris Ferraro pass out of mid-air, beating Bakersfield's Michel Robinson for the 2-0 lead. Las Vegas extended its lead to 3-0 at 17:17 of the first period as left wing Bruce Mulherin scored his 10th goal of the season. Mulherin snapped a shot from the left-wing corner, off Robinson and into the net for the three-goal Wranglers lead.
In the second period, Bakersfield pulled within one goal after scoring twice in a 39-second span. Bakersfield Captain Sean Venedam scored his 14th goal of the season at 3:12, pulling the Condors within two goals at 3-1. Bakersfield cut the Las Vegas lead to 3-2 just 39-seconds later as Evan Kotsopolous tallied his fourth goal of the season off a rebound at 3:51. Condors' winger Andrew Ianeiro assisted on both Bakersfield goals.
In the third period, Adam Cracknell tallied his second of the night just 2:53 into the final period, extending the Las Vegas lead to 4-2. Peter Ferraro increased the Las Vegas lead to 5-2 with his second of the night at 4:38. Bakersfield trimmed the Wranglers lead back to two-goals with a power-play goal by Steve Slonina at 8:55. Wranglers' winger Kelly Czuy extended the Las Vegas lead to 6-3 with his eighth goal of the season at 15:01. Adam Cracknell completed his first career hat trick with his 24th goal of the season at 18:04, pushing the Las Vegas lead to 7-3.
Las Vegas will play in Stockton Wednesday at 7:00 pm. Las Vegas will return to the Orleans Arena on Friday, February 15th and Saturday, February 16th at 7:05 pm to host Victoria. The Wranglers will host Bakersfield at 7:05 pm on Monday, February 18th to conclude a three-game home stand.
