The Aviators stretched the lead to 4-1 in the top of the third. With the bases loaded, Matt Spencer smoked a two-RBI single through the right side. Coastal Bend extended the lead to 6-1 when James Lofton ripped a two-run single down the right field line in the fourth. Josh Neitz was pulled from the game after the base hit.
The Diablos streaked back into the game with an explosive bottom of the fourth. Logan Wood propelled the squad with a three-run homer off of Miguel Martinez. Jordan Belcher also came through with a run-scoring double cutting the deficit to just 6-5.
El Paso tied up the contest in the bottom of the seventh. Jordan Belcher led off the frame with a single. Jorge Alvarez moved Belcher to second on a single to left field. Walter Olmstead drove in Belcher with an RBI single, knotting up the game at six.
