The St. Joe Blacksnakes scored three runs in the first inning and four more in the third inning to roll out to a 7-0 lead and would never look back en route to an easy win over the Fort Worth Cats. Blacksnakes SS Chad Sosebee and C Dylan Parzyk combined to go 5-for-10 at the plate with two runs scored and five runs driven in. St. Joe starting pitcher Ryan Williams evened up his record at 1-1 on the year with a six inning performance allowing one earned run on five hits with two walks and three strikeouts. For the Cats in the losing effort, SS Dallas Christison went 3-for-4.

Shreveport 13, Pensacola 4

The Shreveport Sports got off to a quick start Thursday as the Sports scored two runs in the first inning, five runs in the second inning and three more in the third to get a 10-0 lead and would go on to win handily over the Pensacola Pelicans. Sports leadoff hitter Deacon Burns was the leader at the plate as he went 4-for-5 with three runs scored and a run driven in. 2B Jack Joffrion and 1B Justin Humphries each collected three hits on the night as well for Shreveport. Sports starting pitcher Mal Winters notched his eighth win of the season. Winters hurled six innings allowing one earned run on four hits with two walks and four strikeouts.

St. Paul 9, Sioux Falls 6

St. Paul erased a 6-4 deficit with five huge runs in the ninth inning off of Sioux Falls closer Jerrod Fuell to get the win and reduce their magic number to clinch the second half of the North Division to one game. Saints 1-2 hitters of CF Scooter Jordan and 2B Demetrius Heath went a combined 6-for-7 at the plate with four runs scored and three RBI. St. Paul RF Derrick White also chipped in with three hits in five at-bats along with two runs driven in. Saints reliever Jon Huizinga gave up two runs on three hits in one inning of work but came out with the win, his fifth on the year.

Sioux City 7, Lincoln 5 (8 innings - Rain)

Sioux City stays alive in the race for the North Division second half crown thanks in large part to C Jason Radwan. With the Explorers trailing 5-3 in the eighth inning, Radwan hits a grand slam to right center field giving the Explorers a 7-5 lead and a lead they would not relinquish as the game was shortened to eight innings due to rain. Robert Wooley for Sioux City picks up his third win of the year pitching 4 1/3 innings of scoreless relief allowing five hits. SS Tony Garcia went 3-for-4 on the night with a run scored and two RBI for Lincoln.

El Paso 7, Coastal Bend 6

@ El Paso, TX. Time: 2:45 Attendance: 4,309

W: Dustin Cameron (5-2) L: Brian Martin (2-1) S: NONE

HR: CB-Bryon Smith (10); EL-Kory Drew (6), Logan Wood (12)

El Paso plates the game winning run in the ninth inning to edge by Coastal Bend. CF Kory Drew and LF Logan Wood each went 2-for-4 at the dish with Drew scoring three runs and Wood driving in three. Drew and Wood both homered as well, their sixth and 12th of the season respectively. Dustin Cameron goes to 5-2 on the season pitching two innings of scoreless relief giving up a hit and a walk while striking out two. For the Aviators, DH Bryon Smith went 1-for-4 hitting his 10th home run of the season.
