Green Bay Rockers News Release

The Bullfrogs lost a seventh straight on Tuesday night, falling in a back and forth battle in Wausau against the Wisconsin Woodchucks.

Green Bay got on the board early with an RBI groundout from Boomer White plating Jimmy Coady in the first inning.

That would be Green Bay's only lead of the game however, as the Woodchucks responded with three unearned runs in the bottom of the first, including two doubles.

The went back and forth throughout the rest of the way, but the Woodchucks led it throughout. The Bullfrogs pulled it to 5-4 in the sixth inning with a solo home run from Trevin Sonnier, his first of the year.

However, Wisconsin responded with a grand slam from Josh Goosen-Brown in the bottom half of that inning to extend its lead to 9-4.

The Bullfrogs rallied back with three runs in the seventh and another in the eighth, but the Woodchucks continued to respond with two runs in the seventh inning and one in the eighth. All of those runs were charged to Green Bay's Will Landsheft.

The eventual final score was 12-8. The win went to Austin Orewiler (1-5) and the loss to Matt Freeman (1-2). Max Ising earned the save. It was his fourth of the season and tenth of his Woodchucks career.

The Bullfrogs are now 16-25 on the season and 0-6 in the second half.
