
DeNoble, Korostelev, and Wells Join Professional Clubs Following Petes Season

(Peterborough, ON) - Following the conclusion of the 2017-18 Petes season, Logan DeNoble, Nikita Korostelev, and Dylan Wells have signed with professional teams.
The Kansas City Mavericks announced Monday that DeNoble has signed with the East Coast Hockey League club. Finishing second in team scoring, DeNoble registered 31 goals, 21 assists, 52 points, and 31 penalty minutes in 59 games during the 2017-18 season. The Peterborough native and Petes captain joins alumnus Greg Betzold, who is in his first season with the Mavericks, the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Calgary Flames and AHL's Stockton Heat.
Nikita Korostelev signed an Amateur Tryout contract with the American Hockey League's Laval Rocket on March 20. He led the Petes in scoring with 30 goals, 45 assists, 75 points, and 54 penalty minutes in 64 games this season. Korostelev made his debut with the Rocket, the AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, on March 23 against the Charlotte Checkers, recording one assist.
Dylan Wells agreed to an Amateur Tryout contract with the AHL's Bakersfield Condors on March 20. As Peterborough's starting goalie, Wells appeared in 56 of the team's 68 games this season, accumulating a record of 20-30-3-3, 1 shutout, a 3.62 goals against average, and 0.896 save percentage. He was fifth in the OHL in minutes played (3,230). The Condors are the AHL affiliate of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, with whom Wells signed an entry level contract in May 2017 after being selected by the club in the 5th round, 123rd overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
