
Denny Called up to AHL Chicago

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that defenseman Chad Denny has been reassigned to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League by the Atlanta Thrashers.
The 6-foot-3 inch defenseman has played in 48 games this season with Gwinnett posting 7 goals and 6 assists for 13 points and has compiled a -5 plus/minus rating with 48 penalty minutes. Denny has tallied three goals in the last 5 games for Gwinnett.
Denny started the season in Gwinnett, playing in three games and notching an assist. Denny was reassigned to Chicago on November 1 but saw no playing time before being assigned to Gwinnett by the Atlanta Thrashers on November 13.
The Eskasoni First Nations, Nova Scotia native has notched two multiple point games this season, tallying one goal and one assist in a 5-4 win in Augusta on December 15 and scoring two goals in Gwinnett's 4-3 loss in Charlotte on March 4.
Denny will be available for the Wolves as they host the Hamilton Bulldogs tonight.
The Gladiators continue their fifth anniversary season on Friday, March 14th as they host the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:35 p.m. at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Catch all the play-by-play action in Friday's game on WDUN, News Talk 550.
Celebrating its 20th Anniversary as the Premier 'AA' Hockey League in 2007-08, the ECHL began in 1988-89 with five teams in three states and has grown to be a coast-to-coast league that has 25 teams in 17 states and British Columbia in 2007-08. The 25 teams includes the Mississippi (Biloxi) Sea Wolves, who return after missing two seasons in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and the expansion Elmira (N.Y.) Jackals. The ECHL will play 900 games beginning Oct. 18 and concluding Apr. 5.
