Manchester, NH- RHP Jordan DeJong was sent from the Fisher Cats to the Triple-A Syracuse SkyChiefs today in the last of a flurry of roster moves for the team. Infielder Edgardo Alfonzo, who was signed by the Blue Jays as a Minor League free agent, joins the Fisher Cats today. Yesterrday, OF Tony Miller was acquired by the Blue Jays from the Colorado Rockies in a trade for OF Jorge Sandes and added to the Fisher Cats roster. Also yesterday, RHP Jason Arnold was removed from the Fisher Cats and placed on the voluntary retirement list.

The 27-year-old DeJong was 1-0 with a 1.47 ERA in 11 relief appearances for the Fisher Cats this season. He held opponents to just a .194 batting average. He is the Fisher Cats career leader in pitching appearances, pitching in 113 games since 2004. This is the first time he has reached the Triple-A level. He was originally drafted by the Blue Jays in the 18th round of the 2002 draft out of Cal State Fullerton.

The Fisher Cats roster now stands at the maximum 23 active players.
