Defenseman Zach McKelvie Recalled to Providence

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that defenseman Zach McKelvie has been recalled from Reading by the Boston Bruins and assigned to the Providence Bruins of the AHL. McKelvie was assigned to the Royals on Wednesday and played two games with the team during this most recent stint in Reading without registering any points or penalty minutes. In five games with the Royals this year, McKelvie has one goal and five penalty minutes.

The Royals face the Wheeling Nailers tonight (Saturday, March 17, 2012 @ 7:05 pm) at the Sovereign Center in Reading, where the Royals will celebrate 'St. Hattrick's Day' presented by the Reading Eagle. Reading will wear special green jerseys which will be auctioned off after the game with the net proceeds going to the Berks Arts Council. The first 2500 fans on Saturday night will receive a Royals' hat courtesy of Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products and Lasting Image Promotional Products. Saturday's game night broadcast will start at 6:35 pm with the Red Robin Gourmet Burger Pre-Game Warm-up Show on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Reading.
