Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that defenseman Jared Ross has been recalled to the Providence Bruins of the AHL. This marks the second call-up to Providence this season for Ross, who was assigned to the Royals from the Bruins on October 1, 2009, and recalled on October 9-prior to the start of the ECHL season. After that call-up, Ross, a first year pro from Stony Island, Nova Scotia, played six games without registering any points or penalty minutes with Providence. Ross was then re-assigned to Reading on October 25, 2009, and played twenty games for the Royals since that time, scoring three goals, assisting on two others (five points) and picking up twenty-nine penalty minutes.

The Royals continue a five game road trip in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Saturday (December 12, 2009 @ 7:30 pm) when the team will face the Cincinnati Cyclones for the first time this season. The Royals game night broadcast for Saturday night's game on the Royals Radio Network Presented by Transmissions by Arbogast kicks off at 7:00 pm.
