ECHL Names Merrell Manager Of Communications/Marketing/New Media

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced that it has hired Molly Merrell as Manager of Communications/Marketing/New Media.
Merrell will assist in the creation and distribution of press releases, ECHL.com, and the layout and design of ECHL printed publications, including the Official Guide and Record Book, as well as updating of the official web site, ECHL.com, and social networking for the Premier 'AA' Hockey League.
She will support corporate sponsorship and marketing initiatives and the ECHL Licensing Program while also being involved in the planning and direction of the ECHL All-Star Game and the annual ECHL Sales, Marketing and Communications Meeting.
Merrell worked as the assistant ticket manager for the Lincoln Stars in the United States Hockey League and as an intern for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League. She also worked as a production manager assistant for ABC Sports and handled public relations for FitzBradshaw Racing and Penske Racing with driver Ryan Newman.
She received her bachelor's degree in English from the University of Nebraska where she worked in the sports information office.
