Saturday, September 11th - Bakersfield Sports Entertainment will be taking part in the United Way of Kern County's Day of Caring 2004. The day begins with a Kick-Off Breakfast from 7:00 am - 9:00 am. The breakfast will be held at Stramler Park located at 3805 Chester Avenue. Following breakfast, BSE will be showing of their wallpaper and painting skills as they head to Kern Child Abuse Council Center. BSE staff will be removing old wallpaper and putting up a fresh coat of paint. Kern Child Abuse Council Center is located at 730 Chester Avenue in Bakersfield.
Saturday, September 11th - Colonel Claw'd will be showing off his sign-language skills, as he joins the Condors staff at the Bakersfield - GLAD (Greater Los Angeles Council on Deafness) Family Carnival at Stramler Park from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. The Bakersfield - GLAD Family Carnival is part of the United Way of Kern County's Day of Caring 2004. All proceeds will be used to support Bakersfield - GLAD programs and services for residents of Kern County. Bakersfield - GLAD has been supporting the needs of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing residents of Ken County since 1984 and is dedicated to improving the social, economic, health, education and cultural well being of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing community. Stramler Park is located at 3805 Chester Avenue.
Saturday, September 11th - Following a long day of manual labor, the Condors will be attending Brews in the Village 2004. Brews in the Village is an annual fundraiser for Childrens' Advocates Resource Endowment (CARE). CARE is a local non-profit organization that places 60% of all money raised into an Endowment Fund for the future of Kern County children. The remaining 40% is awarded twice a year to local children's charities. Brews in the Village will be held from 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm in Pioneer Village at the Kern County Museum located at 3801 Chester Avenue.

The Bakersfield Condors 2004-2005 season is just 45 days away! The Condors will open their second season in the ECHL on Friday, October 22, 2004 against the expansion Victoria Salmon Kings.
