
Pride and Boys & Girls Club team up for second annual golf tournament

FLORENCE, SC â The Pee Dee Pride announced today that the team, in conjunction with Outback Steakhouse and Honda of South Carolina, will hold a golf tournament on Tuesday, November 9, at Governor's Run Golf Club in Lamar. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Pee Dee Area.
The event will begin at 11:15 a.m. with lunch provided by Outback Steakhouse. The tournament begins at 12:15 p.m. with a shotgun start.
The cost to enter the tournament is $75 per person or $200 for a threesome. The first 24 teams to enter are guaranteed to play with a Pride representative.
In addition, hole sponsorships are available for $100, and gimmick packages, which include two mulligans, two strings and one red tee per player, are available for $30. Checks should be made payable to the Boys & Girls Club of the Pee Dee Area. Prizes will be provided to three teams in the tournament, and there will also be door prizes raffled off at the conclusion of the tournament.
"We are extremely excited about this year's tournament," said Neal Zimmerman, Executive Director for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Pee Dee Area. "Last year we raised nearly $10,000 in the first year of the tournament. Now that we have a year of experience under our belts, we are looking for even bigger and better things in 2004."

Opening Weekend 2004 is right around the corner! Friday, October 22, the Pride host the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies at 7:30 p.m. All fans in attendance will receive a free rally towel courtesy of Wachovia Bank. On Saturday, October 23, the Pride host the Augusta Lynx, also at 7:30. The first 2,500 fans in attendance receive a Pride magnetic schedule courtesy of SCE&G. Following the game, the Pride, in conjunction with Archadeck of the Pee Dee, BB&T, and Griggs, Floyd and Grantham and Micky Finn's present the Blue Dogs in concert.
