Davis Activated, Miller Released

OTTAWA - The Philadelphia Phillies activated Kane Davis from the disabled list today and released veteran pitcher Justin Miller.

Davis, 31, was placed on the DL April 12th with a sore back. He has made two appearances out of the Lynx bullpen this season, striking out four in just 2.1 innings of work. In his 15th season of professional baseball, Davis has spent parts of three seasons in the Major Leagues with Cleveland, Milwaukee, Colorado and the New York Mets.

Miller, 29, made three appearances for the Lynx this season, all out of the bullpen. He had a 3.86 ERA and registered two strikeouts. The veteran right-hander, who is in his 11th professional season, has pitched parts of three seasons in the Major Leagues with Toronto and went 2-0 with a 3.86 ERA with Triple-A Durham last year.

This is the first season the Lynx are the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. Sunday, April 22nd is Kids Opening Day, featuring the legendary Philly Phanatic.
