
Daren Puppa to Consult K-Wings Goaltenders

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders and American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers announce former NHL goaltender Daren Puppa will be a special goaltending consultant for the K-Wings from Saturday, March 12th-Thursday, March 17th.
The former 15-year pro, who played part of each of those seasons in the NHL, will also be working with the AAA West Michigan Hounds Wednesday, March 16th at Wings West.
"Puppa will bring confidence to the goaltending tandem." said Paul L. Pickard, president of Stadium Management Company. "We care about our goaltenders as they are often playing the position that is most overlooked."
Pickard also added that "Daren's experience will assist our goaltenders form as they prepare for this crucial stretch run"
Puppa will be talking about working with the K-Wings this Friday, March 11th during the K-Wings broadcast when Kalamazoo travels to the Cambria County War Memorial in Johnstown, Pennsylvania for a 7:35 p.m. encounter this Friday, March 11th to battle the Wheeling Nailers
The native of Kirkland Lake, Ontario will also be a guest on K-Wings Live, presented by Miller Lite this Monday, March 14th from Old Burdick's Wings West from 7-8 p.m.
The K-Wings will home this Saturday, March 12th with a 7:30 p.m. face-off versus the Nailers for another Saturday "Celebrity" Series featuring the World Famous Los Angeles Laker Girls, who will be performing during the intermissions and signing autographs during the third period.

Tickets for all K-Wings home games are on sale now and range in price from $9.90-$14.90 for adults and only $6.90 for kids ages 12 and under. The ticket prices for all K-Wings premium night games (all colored ice games and New Year's Eve game) are just $1 more.
Fans can save money by purchasing K-Wings single game tickets advance because on the day of a game, K-Wings tickets are $1 more.
