
ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Thursday announced the following fines and suspensions.
Kalamazoo ¬â¢s Tarasuk Suspended
Kalamazoo ¬â¢s Steven Tarasuk has been suspended for one game as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #422, Toledo at Kalamazoo, on March 9.
Tarasuk received an instigating penalty with 0:42 remaining in overtime of the game. He is suspended under Rule #46.21 which states any player deemed to be the instigator or aggressor of an altercation in the final five (5) minutes of regulation or at anytime in overtime, shall be automatically suspended from his team's next game.
Tarasuk will miss Kalamazoo ¬â¢s game at Wheeling on March 11.
Trenton ¬â¢s Berube Fined, Suspended
Trenton ¬â¢s J.S. Berube has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #569, Trenton at Reading, on March 9.
Berube was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct under Rule #43.5 - Checking from Behind, at 14:34 of the first period.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players ¬â¢ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player ¬â¢s Hardship Fund.
Berube will miss Trenton ¬â¢s game against Toledo on March 11.
South Carolina ¬â¢s Finley Fined, Suspended
South Carolina ¬â¢s Joe Finely has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #575, Cincinnati at South Carolina, on March 9.
Finley is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players ¬â¢ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player ¬â¢s Hardship Fund.
Finely will miss South Carolina ¬â¢s games against Cincinnati on March 12 and 13.
