Daniel Wright Promoted To Bakersfield

DAYTON, OHIO-The Dayton Dragons announced the following roster changes today:

Right-handed pitcher Daniel Wright has been promoted from Dayton to Bakersfield (Advanced-A, California League).

Left-handed pitcher Nick Routt has been promoted to Dayton from extended spring training. He will wear uniform #25.

The Dragons roster remains at the Midwest League limit of 25 players.

Wright appeared in 10 games with the Dragons (seven starts). He is 3-2 with a 2.06 earned run average that ranks fifth in the Midwest League.

Routt was the Cincinnati Reds 16th round draft pick in 2012 out of Mississippi State University. He joins the Dragons from extended spring training and has not pitched in an official game this season. He will be the Dragons starting pitcher on Tuesday morning at Fort Wayne. The Dragons battle the Fort Wayne TinCaps at 11:05 a.m. (EDT) on Tuesday.
