
Dallas Desperados Announce 2008 Schedule

The Dallas Desperados kick off the 2008 Arena Football League season in a nationally televised game at the Georgia Force on Saturday, March 1.
The Desperados will play in nine games against 2007 playoff teams, including the 2007 ArenaBowl XXI Champions San Jose SaberCats.
The Desperados begin the season by facing four consecutive teams that qualified for the 2007 playoffs. They open the season in a nationally televised game on ABC at Georgia on March 1. Dallas will open its 2008 home schedule against its Eastern Division rival Columbus Destroyers on Friday, March 7. The Desperados then host John Elway's Colorado Crush in a Monday night bout on ESPN2 March 17. Dallas heads west to face the ArenaBowl XXI Champions San Jose SaberCats on Saturday, March 22. To close out the month, the Desperados head up to New York to take on Eastern Division rivals, New York Dragons March 30.
Dallas kicks off April hosting its new division rival Cleveland - who moved from Las Vegas - on Saturday April 5. They will then play host to the New Orleans VooDoo April 12 before hitting their bye week. The Desperados resume action with back-to-back division road games, first at Philadelphia on Monday night, April 28 on ESPN2, followed by a trip to Columbus Saturday, May 3. They return home to host back-to-back Saturday night games, Grand Rapids Rampage on May 10 and the Arizona Rattlers on May 17, before hitting the road for two consecutive weeks, first on Friday, May 23 at Orlando then they will make their first appearance in Cleveland Saturday, May 31.
Dallas ushers in June with consecutive divisional home games against Philadelphia - Saturday, June 7 - and New York - Saturday June 14. The Desperados will close out the season at Chicago on ESPN2 Sunday, June 22.
