D.C. United News Release

Washington, D.C. (September 29, 2005) - Today, D.C. United, in partnership with the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD) and Just for Kicks with support from McLean Youth Soccer, will host a soccer clinic for children with disabilities. The free clinic will take place at Lewinsville Park in McLean, VA and will run from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. From 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., United players Ben Olsen, Josh Gros and Clyde Simms will run the interactive clinic for youth aged 8-16, who have either physical or developmental disabilities.

"D.C. United is excited about partnering with NSCD and Just for Kicks for the second year in a row," said Catherine Marquette, United Director of Community Relations and Executive Director of United for D.C. "Our players can't wait to meet the young people who will be at the clinic and share some one-on-one time with them."

The AbilityCAMP will include instruction, skill development, use of equipment, games, prizes and dinner. Additionally, the head coach of the U.S. Paralympic Soccer Team and the Virginia Beach Mariners, Jay Hoffman, will conduct a session for paralympic athletes.

Based in Colorado, the NSCD has traditionally offered a variety of both winter and summer programs in their home state. In the last two years however, the NSCD has focused on creating more programs across the nation through the AbilityCAMP model. In 2005, the NSCD will deliver the AbilityCAMP program to five major cities throughout the country.

For more information on the AbilityCAMP and D.C. United's involvement or any of the team's Community Relations initiatives, please contact Catherine Marquette at 202-587-5443 or at cmarquette@dcunited.com.

Broadcasting and P.A. Request: When speaking of the organization, please refer to the team as either "D.C. United" or "United," but not "the D.C. United" or "the United." We appreciate your cooperation.
